About Me

Bettye Hamblen Turner
Miles, Texas, United States
Although my formal training is in painting, my primary work is life size or larger welded sculpture. Painting provides a welcome relief to the slower labor intensive work of sculpting. I can quickly explore formal spatial concepts or play with the pattern of relective differentials that I use for sculpture. Sometimes I paint just to express the sheer joy of living.
